This is not an active monitor but rather it will play a recorded message when it detects noise. If you dont love your kids - buy this.

I love that it calls you after it detects noise. You can set the number you want it to call and also set when it calls you, i.e. after 10 seconds of noise or up to 10 minutes. My favorite feature is the activity log. Our little girl is a talker and we have a blast listening to her talk to her animals when she wakes up. Its also great to know if and how much your child is coughing.

After many attempts, it would not call the number we added buy would record my child crying for us. I downloaded a different app.

The only feature I require is that I can listen to the sound in the room. I dont need video in a dark room, duh. This app relies on calling/texting another phone to alert of noise, relying on AT&T and all the potential failure points introduced when leaving a phone by a bedside. Without the ability to check the audio stream live, I am going to have to walk in anyway. What a waste of $3. Its called "baby monitor & alarm" not baby text messenger or noise notifier. There was an "important notes" section in the description. Try adding: "you cannot actually monitor your baby with this app. It DOES NOT PROVIDE AN ACTUAL BABY MONITOR feature at all.". Disappointed. This app has the right idea but there are 2 major drawbacks. First there is no way to have the phone go to speaker when it makes the call. The phone ring alerts you but you cannot hear what is actually going on in the room. Second, even if you could listen and determine that everything was fine the app terminates when you hang up the phone. This means that for every false alarm you would have to go back into the room and reset the iPhone.

App is doing exactly what it promises and what is described in app description - it calls to another phone when noise is in room for specified time. It has also other nice functions, like activity log, so that I can see, what happened in the room.

More than once the monitor turned off and I had no way of knowing. Once it called the phone to alert me that the baby had woken up just when I stepped outside for a second do I didnt hear it. So the baby was crying by himself until I finally checked on him an hour later and realized hed been up. The issue is not that the app is defective, but that there should be some way to check from maybe another device if its still on.

Great app. Works exactly as advertised. Excellent 3$ spent. I do wish the app would return to monitoring after it makes a call though. But then again, if youre running back upstairs you probably wouldnt expect a second call. This app augments our video monitoring app when we travel. Nicely done!

This baby monitor works exactly like it says, perfect while on vacation so we can step outside with everyone while the baby sleeps.

Love this app, weve used it on multiple occasions while traveling and it has worked great!

Really grateful this app exists! So useful and easy to use. Only complaint is that is says "mommys voice" vs "parent" or "daddy"

This is a great, convenient way to do naps when your on the go!

As Im just trying it out for the first time, I realize that you have to use your iPhone as the monitor because the main feature is that it will place a phone call as soon as the baby wakes up. It would be very smart to allow FaceTime calls so that an iPod touch or iPad could be used as the monitor as well; dont know of anyone that would leave their cellphone on the babys crib. Will rate higher when this gets implemented.

We have a regular baby phone without a monitor at home. We use this one when we travel and it does the exact thing. We dont need a monitor. The best thing is that you dont need an Internet connection and you can use it in any country. Love it, love it, love it.

Just wish it allowed iPads to contact a phone such as email or text.

It calls your phone when it detects a noise. However I want to use my old iPhone for monitoring. So it cannot call me as I dont have a sim in it. Also, I prefer iMessage and FaceTime audio alerts.

Its great that you dont have to listen to a monitor, and the range is unlimited.

Should have everyone who has a child! Especially necessary for me, if child lie down on naps, when we visited grandparents or friends.

This baby monitor is different. Im so happy to have found it. Theres nothing like it, not even hardware based. Heres why: Most people want to rush in the second their baby starts to fuss. But for those of us who want to give our little one a chance to sort it out on their own, this app will only alert you after a chosen number of minutes of crying, up to a max of 10. This means, essentially, that your kid could cry for 9 minutes in the middle of the night, fall back asleep, and you would not be woken. The next day you could check the log and see what happened, including a chance to hear a recording of their crying. With this latest update the bugs are fixed and this app is ready for prime time. A must-have for sleep training.
